Dear Friends of The Sunny Center,It is very sunny at the Sunny Center! And we want to spread that warmth to all our friends and supporters around the world!  We hope this newsletter finds you in a happy place.

We are so excited about the months to come, as we have guests visiting, volunteers staying and special programs planned around the world. We couldn’t do this work without the support of you, our friends and patrons. So we are grateful that you stand with us and we thank you for your donations. Every gift matters and every gift is appreciated. Thank you.

OUR GUESTS AND VISITORS

Our visitors on their way to an open air meditation.

We are expecting our next guest later this month and look forward to his arrival. There is so much to share here – long days that last until 11p.m., bright skies, the company of our furry friends, our fresh grown veggies and laid eggs and the peace and beauty that is so bountiful here. Our most recent visitors were a group of cows that were headed off to practice some meditation in a nearby field!!!

In line with our new policy of inviting Exoneree couples as guests, we had two couples lined up to come in June but had to postpone because they are expecting babies. We expect another couple next month. Will we have to put in a nursery soon?

We also had a couple visit us from Murder Victims Families for Reconciliation in America and they enjoyed their time experiencing the healing atmosphere of the Sunny Center.

OUR VOLUNTEERS

Our first Talking Circle ceremony with our volunteer Tress.

Our newest volunteer Tress arrived and she is a wonderful addition to the Sunny Center. Her skills as a nurse are such a welcomed resource for the work we do. She has fit right in at The Sunny Center!!! We all participated in a Talking Circle lead by an 88-year-old Native American healer who invited us to participate in this traditional healing ceremony.

OUR ACTIVISM

A production of The Exonerated at the prestigious Middle Temple Hall in London.

We traveled to London and Sunny and Peter both participated in a performance of The Exonerated at the Middle Temple Hall, which dates back to the mid-1500s and is one of the four ancients inns of court which recognizes barristers and is the site where William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night received its first recorded performance here, at the feast Candlemas in 1602. The evening was hosted by Amicus, a nonprofit that trains lawyers to work on death penalty cases.

OUR FURRY FRIENDS

Our lovely Lama!

We think our goat Lama is expecting a kid this month and await the arrival of a new (goat) kid!!! We are thrilled for her, as last year she lost her mamma – her best friend, companion and sleepmate.

STAY CONNECTED

We send you lots of love, peace and tranquility. Enjoy these fine days and please stay in touch.
.
Peace and Love,

Sunny and Peter
