We have had a wonderful summer filled with guests and visitors, and we are now getting ready for the winter months. We have lots of exciting events and plans under way, all part of our work here at the Sunny Center.
Of course, we couldn’t connect with exonerees or reach out to their families without your support, so we ask you this one thing: if you haven’t sent a donation in a while, please consider doing so now. We are a small operation. Every gift matters and we could use your help now.
OUR GUESTS AND VISITORS
We had Dean and Pam stay with us this month. This was our first experience working with a couple. We all enjoyed each other’s company and learned so much about the importance of connection and communication.
We bid goodbye to Georgie, who will be organizing a talk for us at her university. Our two new volunteers, Emily and Hannah, from the US and UK, respectively, have been learning the routines and enjoying work with the animals.
We are also creating a network across the country of pro-bono doctors, dentists, opticians etc. willing to offer their expertise to help exonerees who might need such help. If you can help in this regard, please let us know through the website.
We have found an expert in the field of PTSD who has agreed to work with all exonerees free of charge. His work is very successful and only requires one day of the person’s time, with follow up online support.
We are holding healing retreats for Exonerees in major cities around the US, utilising the universities that invite us to do speaking engagements in conjunction with the local Innocence Projects.
Sunny and Peter and the Sunny Center are featured in a full length documentary film, “Fallout” that is available in the UK now on BBC Scotland Player.
In the area of fund raising, we are organising a performance of the play “The Exonerated” at the Town Hall Theatre in Galway on November 19th. Also in November, we will be hosting, “Sing Aong With Sister Helen,” in London with Sr. Helen Prejean and the cooperation of supporters there. This will depend on Sister Helen's health as we understand that she has recently had back surgery. Please send her your love and prayers.

OUR FURRY FRIENDS
Our new kids Louie, Jack and Jill are thriving. We enjoy watching them grow and interact with one another. The hens have decided that they enjoy laying their eggs in the goat house! Every day is an egg hunt at the Sunny Center!
Peace and Love,
Sunny and Peter
